Η Παναγία ευχαριστημένη από την ομορφιά του Όρους και τον κλήρον που της δόθηκε, προσευχήθηκε στον Χριστό λέγοντας:

«Υιέ μου και Θεέ μου, ευλόγησον τον τόπον τούτον και κλήρον μου. Και επίχεον επ' αυτού το έλεος σου και φύλαξον αβλαβή ως της συντελείας του αιώνος τούτου και τους κατασκηνούντας εν αυτώ, δια το όνομα σου το Άγιον και Εμόν, ώστε δια μικρού κόπου και αγώνος της μετανοίας αφεθήναι αυτής αμαρτήματα αυτών.»

“My Son and my God, bless this place and my inheritance.”

The Panagia, thankful for the beauty of the Mount (Athos) and the inheritance which Christ had given to her, prayed to Him, saying:

“My Son and my God, bless this place and my inheritance. And bestow upon it Your mercy and keep free from harm even to the end of the ages all those who dwell on it, in Your name and mine, laboring and struggling in repentance unto the remission of their sins.”
